''IT was only a matter of time before somebody took the whole "no-make-up make-up" trend and simplified it by sending the models onto the catwalk with totally bare faces. And, following a week of glowing skin, barely-there foundation and plenty of lip balm, Marc Jacobs and François Nars did just that at the designer's spring/summer 2015 show last night.''

The Girls were sent out onto the catwalk with not an anouce of makeup on the only preparation that was done was skin care, lots of moisturiser and that was it. I think  this look is iconic of Nars and relates to the ethos of the brand, Francois has always been interested in the individualities of the models he uses and creating a no makeup look allows for the models true skin tones, textures to shine through. The combination between the no makeup face with the blunt textural hair creates a successful interesting look.

Christopher Kane S/S15 LFW

"This look is all about the raw beauty of the girl. Fresh scrubbed skin using moisturiser and little else, with only slight perfecting of spots and redness. In some cases even under eye circles were kept, so as to use the natural tone around the eyes as shadow. It's less about adding on, and more about stripping away and using the natural elements of each girl to their benefit. A slight ode to grunge made modern with a focus on healthy gorgeous skin." (Dazed, 2014)

This look was also about the bare minim allowing the natural glow of the models skin to show through this look was created using the Christopher Kane NARS May 2015 collection yet to be released. Again the no makeup makeup look is a big statement for the S/S15 shows and is a key look that all women can re create, the dewy skin texture and brushed natural brows is effortless and easy.
